The charging pins are broken and the system will not chrage through a traditional charger, see the 2nd picture for details. The right corner also has a small crack. The last time I used the 3ds xl (before the pins got damaged) it was working perfectly fine, so if you know how to fix or change the charging pins the console should once again be fully functional. Buy at your own risk or for spare parts.
