Areas we cover

Where we deliver, demonstrate and service

The Mobility Centre is a mobility scooter and powerchair showroom at Stewartby, between Bedford and Ampthill. We deliver free across Bedford and the surrounding villages, and we travel out across Bedfordshire and into Milton Keynes for home demonstrations, servicing and repairs.

What we come out to you for

  • Free local delivery

We deliver, set the machine up, and show you how to use it before we leave. No flat-pack, no courier.

  • Free home demonstrations

We bring the scooter to you, so you can try it on your own kerb, at your own front door and in your own car boot.

  • Pickup and return servicing

We collect your machine, service it in our workshop and bring it back — all makes, not only the ones we sold.

  • A real person on the phone

Ring the number and somebody in the showroom answers. No call centre, no ticket number.

How do I get to the showroom?

The showroom is on Broadmead Business Park at Stewartby, around 2.6 miles from the A421, 6.7 miles from junction 13 of the M1 and 6.4 miles from Bedford railway station. There is free parking directly outside the door and step-free access throughout, so you can arrive, park and come straight in.

If getting here is the difficulty, that is usually solvable — we bring machines out to people for demonstrations, and we collect and return them for servicing. In Bedford town centre, Bedford Shopmobility at the bus station hires out scooters and wheelchairs for the day, which is worth knowing about whether or not you buy anything from us.

Why does a local showroom matter?

Plenty of companies advertise in this area without having anything in it. When the machine needs collecting, or a battery dies on a Friday, that difference stops being abstract.

We are eight miles from most of the places on this page, with our own workshop and our own van.

  • A showroom you can walk into and try things in
  • Our own engineers, not a subcontracted network
  • Parts and batteries in stock rather than on order
  • The same people next year when it needs a service
